EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kristin brings over 25 years of nonprofit leadership, enabling Life on Art to focus on our next phase of growth including; fundraising to build a sustainable and impactful organization, aligning Life On Art's programmatic work with our resources and community needs, and developing our staff and volunteer capacity. She brings an abundance of nonprofit experience to help Life On Art build unique collaborative public art programs, increase our impact, and engage a wider and deeper number of community members in giving voice to the unseen population. She most recently served as the Vice President of Philanthropic Planning at the Community Foundation Sonoma County, where she built trusted relationships and a deep understanding of Sonoma County's nonprofit tapestry. During her nonprofit career, Kristin has also supported organizations such as The James Irvine Foundation, Catholic Charities, WestEd and COTS.

HEAD OF ENGAGEMENT & PROGRAMMING

Kirsten is an artist and educator who has built her life and career upon the ideals of fostering community, personal growth, and emotional wellness through the power of art. She served as a special education and art teacher in public high schools for over fifteen years, where she fully embraced her activist spirit and taught students how to use their voices, talents, and passions to ignite positive change. Kirsten holds an Associate of Arts from the University of Alaska Anchorage, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College of Visual Arts, and a Master of Education in Special Education from Our Lady of the Lake University. In addition to traditional fine art media, she enjoys leathercraft, playing guitar, and writing.

FUNDRAISING | PROJECT MANAGEMENT | WORKSHOP TEAM MEMBER

Along with his work at Life On Art, Stevan is a writer, visual artist, and advocate for solutions to fix our world’s challenges with global climate change. Before joining Life On Art, Stevan worked in the healthcare and immigration industries for over two decades, doing business development and proposal writing. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Communications, and his early career included work in television production, as a radio DJ and performing musician, and then a stint in the music business.

Ellora has over 8 years experience as a Bay Area film and television Art Department creative. Her portfolio includes the TV series “13 Reasons Why” and “Chance” where she was set decoration coordinator and HBO’s hit “Big Little Lies” as Art PA. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of University of San Francisco’s Media Studies department, Ellora finds inspiration for her life and work in nature.

BOARD CHAIR/FOUNDER

Tracy Ferron’s work is devoted to a simple recipe: Unite. Create. Heal.

Tracy is a multimedia artist compelled by the transformative power of public and community art experiences. Her art works to actualize the emerging paradigm of love and interdependence. Personal healing, the forging of a robust social fabric and creating a just world are all intimately interwoven. Her personal symbolic art led to large scale installations working with the iconography of winged hearts and cages to examine imprisonment and liberation in our society.

BOARD DIRECTOR/SECRETARY

Carroll is a seasoned non-profit board member, with experience as the Chairman of Naturebridge’s Golden Gate board and as Vice Chair of the NatureBridge national board. She earned her master’s from Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and worked as an investment banker at First Boston Corp. and Morgan Bank for nearly a decade, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. After a successful career in finance on the East coast, Carroll moved to California and served as treasurer of the Ross Valley Nursery School, executive committee member and treasurer of the Ross School PTA, Ross School Foundation member and chair of the Ross School Site Council.

BOARD DIRECTOR/TREASURER

Mark Ferron is active in the intersection of energy, environment and philanthropy. Mark has served on the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Investment Committee of RMI (rmi.org) a non-profit working to transform the global energy system to secure a clean, prosperous, zero-carbon future for all. In addition, Mark served as a Governor of the California Independent System Operator and as a Commissioner on the California Public Utilities Commission. For his work on California clean energy policy, Mark was awarded the 2014 Solar Champion Award by Vote Solar and the 2019 Clean Power Champion Award from the Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies.

BOARD DIRECTOR

Catherine is a Speech Language Pathologist with a private practice specializing in autism and neurogenic populations for thirty plus years. She has a Master of Science in Communication Disorders (SFSU), and Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science (UC Santa Barbara). She is a practicing clinician as well as providing supervision for Clinical Fellows and Speech Language Assistants, and clinical trainings to educational teams. Service towards healing and helping others to express and communicate thoughts and feelings via multi-modalities has always been a passion in her career and personal endeavors.

Catherine has served on several non-profit boards in the past. She was a board member with Integrated Community Services (ICS), which assists to people with disabilities, mental health and post-incarceration gain vocational skills, job support/training and secure housing within their community. She was a three year board member of Patron of the Arts at Tamalpais High (PATH), and served as Co-President and CCPPNS ambassador on the board of Mill Valley Nursery School.

Currently, Catherine is President of the Board for ARTFUEL, a non-profit art mentorship program located in Santa Cruz, which assists high school art students in gaining the necessary skills and tools to prepare for a career in the arts. Art is a fundamental part of the human experience and the mission of Life on Art wraps arms around us.

BOARD DIRECTOR

Glenda Corning worked for many years to create site specific environmental art with her sweetheart Henry and a wide array of biologists and refuge managers. They all collaborated under the moniker Meadowsweet Dairy, the historic name of their home studio. Their work may be found locally on the Farallon Islands and the Don Edwards Preserve, San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Glenda was an orthopedic massage and hypnotherapist before joining the Dairy. Her passion is the protection and enhancement of biodiversity, restoration of vital ecosystems and the implementation of programs that promote well-being for humans and the planet. She graduated from UC Berkeley, studied strategic philanthropy with The Philanthropy Workshop, works with the Corte Madera Beautification Committee and is a board member of the Wild Farm Alliance and the Corte Madera Community Foundation.

Emily is a confidential guide for her clients in learning how their money story affects their personal/professional financial decision-making, communications, and relationships.

Ms. Scott’s career includes years on Wall Street, the retail industry, and marketing consulting. Emily has contributed to media on women in transition, women’s struggles with their wealth, wealthy couples navigating their differences, and philanthropic perspectives. She has received accolades for her vulnerability of what it is like to be a client and as a professional. Emily holds an MBA from Cornell University, a BA in management from Simmons College, and is an alumna of The Sudden Money Institute and The Philanthropy Workshop. In her personal life, Emily has been actively engaged in her philanthropy as a board member, fundraiser, and grantor. Emily presented at TED on philanthropy and authored Tails of Devotion, A Look at the Bond Between People and Their Pets.
