Tracy Ferron’s work is devoted to a simple recipe: Unite. Create. Heal.

Tracy is a multimedia artist compelled by the transformative power of public and community art experiences. Her art works to actualize the emerging paradigm of love and interdependence. Personal healing, the forging of a robust social fabric and creating a just world are all intimately interwoven. Her personal symbolic art led to large scale installations working with the iconography of winged hearts and cages to examine imprisonment and liberation in our society.

FUNDRAISING | PROJECT MANAGEMENT | FACILITIES

Along with his work at Life On Art, Stevan is a writer, visual artist, and advocate for solutions to fix our world’s challenges with global climate change. Before joining Life On Art, Stevan worked in the healthcare and immigration industries for over two decades, doing business development and proposal writing. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Communications, and his early career included work in television production, as a radio DJ and performing musician, and then a stint in the music business.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Mark Ferron is Board Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Life On Art. Mark brings over 40 years of experience in banking, finance, operations and technology across the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Alongside co-founder Tracy Ferron, Mark helped build LOA from the ground up, and today he oversees the organization's finance, operations, facilities, and technology infrastructure — working to make LOA's operations as thoughtful and well-designed as the art it produces. Beyond his work at LOA, Mark is a shareholder of Green Bay Packers, Inc., the only community-owned nonprofit corporation in the National Football League.

PROGRAM AND OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Mira brings a strong background in program development and a deep commitment to social equity. With extensive experience designing and implementing youth-focused initiatives, Mira supports the mission of empowering previously incarcerated and marginalized youth through meaningful engagement, mentorship, and community collaboration. Passionate about uplifting marginalized voices, Mira works closely with partners, staff, and community stakeholders to ensure programs are responsive, inclusive, and effective.

GALLERY AND PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Jocelyn joins Life On Art as our Gallery and Program Assistant having worked for the last seven years as the Volunteer Coordinator for Petaluma-based non-profit, Una Vida, with a focus on teens. Jocelyn coordinates community service programs and events happening at LOA as well as facilities management. Jocelyn is in charge of ensuring every visitor of Life On Art has the best experience when they walk through our doors. She has a passion for community building and eager to make Life On Art a must-see gallery and artistic hub in Sonoma County.  Jocelyn was born in Los Angeles, CA and is a life-long Dodgers fan.

ARTISTIC & THERAPEUTIC RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Zoe Fry is a social practice installation artist who finds joy in creating opportunity for community art making process. Zoe joins Life On Art as a consultant guiding the artistic and therapeutic research and development of Life On Art’s Being Human Together program.

BOARD CHAIR

Carroll is a seasoned non-profit board member, with experience as the Chairman of Naturebridge’s Golden Gate board and as Vice Chair of the NatureBridge national board. She earned her master’s from Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and worked as an investment banker at First Boston Corp. and Morgan Bank for nearly a decade, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. After a successful career in finance on the East coast, Carroll moved to California and served as treasurer of the Ross Valley Nursery School, executive committee member and treasurer of the Ross School PTA, Ross School Foundation member and chair of the Ross School Site Council.

Julie Kawahara has dedicated her life to the public sector, focusing on organizational and leadership development within public service organizations that promote equity and support communities to thrive.  Throughout her career, Julie has always been at the forefront of progressive initiatives designed to improve community and system outcomes.  Working with larger institutions such as local Community Colleges, State Universities, State and local health departments and clinics, courts and detention centers, Julie has conducted evaluations, designed and implemented programs, developed policies and procedures and facilitated diverse groups in strategic action planning.  Julie is most passionate about elevating the leadership in BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.  

BOARD SECRETARY

Emily is a confidential guide for her clients in learning how their money story affects their personal/professional financial decision-making, communications, and relationships.

Ms. Scott’s career includes years on Wall Street, the retail industry, and marketing consulting. Emily has contributed to media on women in transition, women’s struggles with their wealth, wealthy couples navigating their differences, and philanthropic perspectives. She has received accolades for her vulnerability of what it is like to be a client and as a professional. Emily holds an MBA from Cornell University, a BA in management from Simmons College, and is an alumna of The Sudden Money Institute and The Philanthropy Workshop. In her personal life, Emily has been actively engaged in her philanthropy as a board member, fundraiser, and grantor. Emily presented at TED on philanthropy and authored Tails of Devotion, A Look at the Bond Between People and Their Pets.

BOARD DIRECTOR

Catherine is a Speech Language Pathologist with a private practice specializing in autism and neurogenic populations for thirty plus years. She has a Master of Science in Communication Disorders (SFSU), and Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science (UC Santa Barbara). Helping others to express and communicate thoughts and feelings via multi-modalities has always been a passion in her career and personal endeavors.

Catherine has served on several non-profit boards including Integrated Community Services (ICS), which assists to people with disabilities, mental health and post-incarceration gain vocational skills, job support/training and secure housing within their community. Currently, Catherine is President of the Board for ARTFUEL, a non-profit art mentorship program located in Santa Cruz, which assists high school art students in gaining the necessary skills and tools to prepare for a career in the arts.

BOARD DIRECTOR

Todd Disney PsyD is a deeply committed Narrative Therapist with over 20 years of clinical experience.  He has worked in various settings, including an Intensive Outpatient Program for teens, family therapy, and, most recently, private practice, where he enjoys collaborating with all people, families, and couples who seek his consultation. Todd is also a dynamic teacher who teaches at the Kaiser Mental Health Training Program for Northern California and supervises new therapists.  He enjoys sharing his experience as a certified trainer for the International Center for Clinical Excellence (ICCE), which focuses on using research to inform clinical work.  Todd is also an adjunct facility for the Vancouver School for Narrative Therapy and is excited to present at the international Therapeutic Conversations 23 conference in Oct ’25.  His current therapeutic passions are focused on poetics as a powerful tool for personal activism and a point of agency/poiesis in developing the concept of “life as lived art.”  He is excited to join the board of Life on Art as it resonates with his ethics that art and community create powerful cultures of healing.

BOARD DIRECTOR/TREASURER

Mark Ferron is active in the intersection of energy, environment and philanthropy. Mark has served on the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Investment Committee of RMI (rmi.org) a non-profit working to transform the global energy system to secure a clean, prosperous, zero-carbon future for all. In addition, Mark served as a Governor of the California Independent System Operator and as a Commissioner on the California Public Utilities Commission. For his work on California clean energy policy, Mark was awarded the 2014 Solar Champion Award by Vote Solar and the 2019 Clean Power Champion Award from the Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies.
